The spreadsheet problem ​

Most sellers run their multi-channel inventory out of a spreadsheet that nobody trusts. You list ten units of an SKU on Amazon, ten on eBay, ten on Walmart, and ten on Shopify — and pray the same buyer doesn't grab the last one from two channels in the same minute. Every overlap turns into a cancellation, a refund, a defect rate hit, and an angry email. Most resellers learn this the hard way after a single account-level Amazon suppression.

The "solution" is usually worse than the problem: you ration stock per channel, listing five on Amazon and five on eBay instead of ten on each, and lose half your sell-through speed. Or you commit to one channel and leave money on the table everywhere else. Or you hire a part-time VA to run reconciliation every two hours and still get burned on weekends.
