Walmart Buy Shipping integration: rates, labels, and tracking inside the order ​

Walmart order management without a second tab. Walmart shipping labels bought at Walmart's own rates from the order screen you are already on, with tracking confirmed back to Walmart the moment the label prints.

The two-tab tax ​

Most sellers who use Ship with Walmart use it by hand. Open Seller Center. Find the order. Click Ship. Pick a rate. Print. Then go back to the inventory tool and mark the same order shipped a second time so the stock comes down and the profit number is not wrong. Two systems, two entries, every order, every day.

At thirty Walmart orders a day that is a job. It is also where the mistakes live: the order shipped in Seller Center and never marked in the inventory tool, so the unit is still sellable and gets oversold. The order marked shipped in the inventory tool with a third-party label, so Walmart never saw valid tracking. The label bought at retail rates from a carrier account because nobody wanted to open the other tab that morning.

The alternative most sellers settle for is shipping Walmart orders on their own carrier accounts and ignoring the program entirely. That works, and it costs money — Walmart quotes rates it negotiated, on volume no individual seller has.

  • Tracking confirmed back to Walmart automatically — the order goes to Shipped on Walmart's side without anyone typing a tracking number twice.
  • The label cost lands on the order — the moment it is bought, so per-unit profit is right that day rather than after somebody reconciles a carrier invoice at month end.
  • Void from the same screen — a label bought by mistake is voided back to Walmart, not written off.

How Walmart Buy Shipping works in Rilk ​

One detail that sounds small and is not: Walmart states its dates on Eastern time. Read them any other way and a promise of "end of day Tuesday" rolls onto Wednesday, and the on-time service you were about to buy disappears from the list as if it were late. Ship with Walmart sat as an open customer request on ShipStation's own public ideas board from November 2023 until August 2026, when ShipStation marked it complete with a beta that sellers have to contact support to switch on. That is the state of the art in the shipping-app category: nearly three years of sellers asking, and an opt-in beta at the end of it.

On the inventory-platform side the honest answer is that we have not audited every competitor's current release notes, and we are not going to publish a claim we cannot check. Before: Walmart orders were the annoying ones. They came in with a promised delivery date that mattered to your seller scorecard, and the shipping tool did not know about it. Do I need my own carrier accounts to use it? ​

No. Walmart Buy Shipping bills through Walmart at Walmart's rates, so it works without a carrier account of your own. If you do have negotiated UPS or FedEx rates, bring them — Rilk shows both and you pick whichever is cheaper on that parcel.

Does Rilk mark the Walmart order as shipped for me? ​

Yes. Buying the label confirms the shipment to Walmart with the tracking number and carrier, which is what moves the order to Shipped on Walmart's side. If Walmart is rate-limiting at that moment, Rilk retries rather than leaving it unconfirmed.

What happens if I buy the wrong label? ​

Void it from the order. Rilk also refuses to sell you a second label on an order that already has one — the most expensive mistake in shipping is the one you make twice on the same parcel.
