How Rilk keeps stock in sync across channels
One number of truth for stock — list the same inventory on every channel and never oversell it.
What this does
You have ten of an item on the shelf. You want it selling on Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Shopify, and BackMarket at the same time — but if each marketplace thinks it has all ten to itself, you'll sell more than you have and eat cancellations, refunds, and account strikes.
Rilk fixes that by giving every product a single stock pool that all of its listings draw from. Sell three units on any channel and every other listing drops by three within seconds. You list the same inventory everywhere and Rilk keeps the count honest, so you're never overselling and never manually reconciling.
What it looks like in practice
You don't set anything special up — it's how the catalog works. Once a product is listed on more than one channel, they share the same stock automatically:
- A sale anywhere lowers the count everywhere. An Amazon order and an eBay order draw from the same ten units, and both channels see the new number without you touching either listing.
- New stock lifts every channel at once. Receive more of an item and every listing that carries it goes back up together.
- No manual updates. You stop logging into each marketplace to adjust quantities — Rilk pushes the current number out to each channel for you.
The result is that you can safely put your full quantity in front of every buyer on every channel, instead of splitting stock into cautious little pools per marketplace and leaving sales on the table.
What you'll end up with
- One number of truth for stock across every channel you sell on.
- The confidence to list the same inventory everywhere without overselling.
- No more per-marketplace quantity edits by hand.
- Fewer oversell cancellations, refunds, and account-health hits.
