Groupon EDI integration: deal orders in, fulfillment and margin in Rilk

Groupon order management for merchants — deal-driven purchase orders arriving through SPS Commerce, picked, shipped, and costed alongside your Amazon and Walmart orders in one Rilk inbox. Connecting directly instead? We'll set that up with you.

Groupon is where a product becomes a deal: a price, a window, and an audience that showed up to buy at that price. When a deal runs, orders don't trickle — they come in a burst that's proportional to how good the offer was, and each one ships from you to the buyer under the terms of your agreement with Groupon. Those orders arrive through SPS Commerce. Sell on Groupon with Rilk. Already on SPS Commerce? Your Groupon orders flow in today. Connecting directly instead? We'll set that up with you.

What you can do

  • Groupon orders land in Rilk as the deal sells, read from the SPS Commerce mailbox you already receive them in.
  • Pick the burst from one list alongside your Amazon and Walmart orders, instead of downloading a portal export and keying it in.
  • One count behind the deal. Every Groupon order takes its unit from the same on-hand your marketplace listings sell from, so a deal that outperforms never oversells the listing.
  • Labels in the same workflow on UPS, FedEx, USPS, and DHL — rate-shopped, because on a deal the shipping cost is the margin.
  • Margin per order. Cost basis and label cost on every line; post Groupon's remittance on the settlements screen and you know what the deal actually made.
  • SPS keeps carrying the documents — ship notices and invoices go back to Groupon as they do today.

What's supported

  • Live today via SPS Commerce — Groupon orders imported from your SPS mailbox, read-only.
  • Order intake with the buyer's ship-to and full line-item detail into your unified inbox.
  • SKU matching by the part numbers on the order; unmatched lines are flagged for mapping, never dropped.
  • One stock pool with Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Shopify, and BackMarket.
  • Pick, pack, and labels for UPS, FedEx, USPS, and DHL, rate-shopped per shipment.
  • Per-unit cost and profit on every Groupon order, reconciled against the remittance on the settlements screen.
  • Direct connection on request if you aren't on SPS Commerce.

How the Groupon inventory sync works

  1. Enable SPS Commerce in Rilk with the mailbox your Groupon orders already arrive in, and switch on Groupon as a trading partner — before the deal goes live. Rilk only reads the mailbox, every file stays where SPS put it, and the first order proves the SKU mapping before the burst.
  2. As the deal sells, each order becomes a Groupon order in Rilk — one buyer, one address, the deal SKU matched to your catalog by part number. A deal that moves a thousand units shows up as a thousand orders your warehouse can pick, not a spreadsheet to import.
  3. Every unit leaves the same count your Amazon and Walmart listings sell from. A deal that runs hotter than planned pulls the marketplace quantities down in real time, so the burst never becomes an oversell on a channel you were still listing at full price.
  4. Rate-shop every label, because on a deal the label is the margin. UPS, FedEx, USPS, and DHL are compared per shipment in Rilk on the same screen as your Amazon orders; the ship notice with tracking goes back to Groupon through your SPS connection.
  5. Know what the deal made you, not what it sold for. Cost basis plus the label cost on every order, Groupon's remittance posted on the settlements screen, and Groupon inventory management and margin per deal are one view.

Why sell on Groupon with Rilk

A deal is a volume lever — you trade price for a burst of orders and an audience you didn't have to find. The burst is the whole problem operationally: hundreds of orders landing in a day, a thin margin per unit, and the same SKU still listed on Amazon from a count nobody adjusted. Run it off a portal export and the deal costs you an oversell and a week of reconciliation. Rilk brings every Groupon order out of SPS into the inbox your team already works, pulls the unit from the same count the marketplaces sell from, rate-shops the label because on a deal the label is the margin, and lands the cost on each order. You take the volume without losing the number.

Frequently asked questions

Does Groupon send orders over EDI?

Yes. Groupon sends the orders from a running deal as EDI documents through SPS Commerce, and Rilk reads them straight out of the SPS mailbox you already receive them in — no re-keying and no portal to check. Rilk never writes to that mailbox: your acknowledgments, ship notices, and invoices stay on your own SPS connection, exactly as they run today.

Do I need SPS Commerce to connect Groupon to Rilk?

If your Groupon orders already arrive through SPS Commerce, they flow into Rilk today from that mailbox. If you aren't on SPS or would rather connect directly, tell us and we'll set the direct connection up with you.

Does Rilk send tracking back to Groupon?

Not for orders arriving through SPS — the ship notice and invoice go back through your SPS Commerce connection, as they do now. Rilk gives your team the orders, the labels, and the cost per unit; SPS carries the documents.

Can a Groupon deal share stock with my marketplace listings?

Yes. There's one count behind the SKU. As the deal sells, your Amazon, Walmart, and eBay quantities for that SKU drop in step, so you can run a deal without pulling the listing or holding stock back for it.

Does Rilk set up or manage the deal on Groupon?

No. The deal, its price, and its terms live in your agreement with Groupon. Rilk's job starts when the order lands — the pick, the label, and the margin.
