How the Target inventory sync works

1. Turn on SPS Commerce in Rilk with the mailbox SPS provisioned for you and enable Target as a trading partner. Target and Target Plus are separate ticks in the same list; Rilk reads the mailbox and never moves or deletes a file — your SPS Adapter keeps running as before.
2. A Target PO becomes a Target order in Rilk within minutes of arriving, addressed to the distribution center or store on the PO, each line matched to your SKU by Target's part number. A line Rilk can't match is flagged for mapping, not lost.
3. Those units come out of the same count your Amazon and Walmart listings draw from. A replenishment PO for several hundred units of one SKU pulls your marketplace quantities down in step, so retail volume never becomes an online oversell.
4. Pack to the PO for the distribution center it names, and ship on Target's routing. Parcel cartons get a UPS, FedEx, USPS, or DHL label bought in Rilk; the rest go out on the freight your Target agreement calls for; the ship notice and invoice reach Target through your SPS connection, as they do now.
5. Margin per PO the day it ships. Cost basis plus shipping on every unit, Target's remittance posted on the settlements screen, and Target inventory management and profit per PO are one view — instead of a quarter-end reconciliation.

Does Target send orders over EDI?

Yes. Target sends vendor purchase orders as EDI documents through SPS Commerce, and Rilk reads them straight out of the SPS mailbox you already receive them in — no re-keying and no portal to check. Rilk never writes to that mailbox: your acknowledgments, ship notices, and invoices stay on your own SPS connection, exactly as they run today.

Do I need SPS Commerce to connect Target to Rilk?

If Target already sends your purchase orders through SPS Commerce, they flow into Rilk today from that mailbox. If you're not on SPS or would rather connect Target directly, tell us and we'll set that up with you.

Does Rilk send acknowledgments, ship notices, or invoices to Target?

No. Those go back to Target through your SPS Commerce connection, unchanged. Rilk reads the purchase orders and runs picking, shipping, and costing; it never writes to the mailbox.

What's the difference between Target and Target Plus in Rilk?

Target purchase orders are vendor orders — replenishment for distribution centers and stores. Target Plus is Target's invite-only marketplace, where you ship each order to the guest directly. Rilk keeps them as separate trading partners so the picker knows which one is on the screen.

Does Rilk push inventory to Target?

No. Target is a purchase-order retailer, not a marketplace you list on; your item setup lives in your vendor agreement with Target. Rilk keeps the units a Target PO consumes in the same count your Amazon, Walmart, and eBay listings sell from.
