Target Plus EDI integration: marketplace orders in, fulfillment and margin in Rilk

Target Plus order management — orders from Target's invite-only marketplace arriving through SPS Commerce, picked, shipped, and costed alongside your Amazon and Walmart orders in one Rilk inbox. Connecting directly instead? We'll set that up with you.

Target Plus is Target's curated third-party marketplace: invite-only, so the sellers on it were chosen, and shipped by the seller, so the guest's order comes to your warehouse rather than a Target distribution center. It behaves like a marketplace — one order, one guest, one address — but for many partners the orders arrive as EDI through SPS Commerce, which means they can end up in a portal instead of in the system your team actually ships from. Sell on Target Plus with Rilk. Already on SPS Commerce? Your Target Plus orders flow in today. Connecting directly instead? We'll set that up with you.

What you can do

  • Target Plus orders land in Rilk as they arrive in your SPS Commerce mailbox, each with the guest's ship-to address and every line.
  • Pick them with your Amazon and Walmart orders. A Target Plus order for a blender and an Amazon order for the same blender come off one pick list.
  • One count behind the listing. The unit a Target Plus order takes comes out of the same on-hand every other channel sells from — no holding stock back for Target.
  • Buy the label in Rilk on UPS, FedEx, USPS, or DHL and get the order out on time.
  • Margin per order, with cost basis and label cost on every line and Target's remittance posted on the settlements screen.
  • SPS keeps carrying the documents — ship notice and invoice go back to Target the way they do today.

What's supported

  • Live today via SPS Commerce — Target Plus orders imported from your SPS mailbox, read-only.
  • Order intake with the guest's ship-to address and full line-item detail into your unified inbox.
  • SKU matching by the part numbers on the order; unmatched lines are flagged for mapping, not dropped.
  • One stock pool with Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Shopify, and BackMarket.
  • Pick, pack, and labels for UPS, FedEx, USPS, and DHL in the same shipping workflow.
  • Per-unit cost and profit on every Target Plus order, reconciled against the remittance on the settlements screen.
  • Direct connection on request — not on SPS Commerce? We'll set Target Plus up with you directly.

How the Target Plus inventory sync works

  1. Tick Target Plus in the SPS Commerce trading-partner list in Company Settings — separately from Target vendor POs, if you have those too. Rilk only reads the mailbox; every file stays where SPS put it.
  2. Each guest order becomes a Target Plus order in Rilk — one ship-to address, a line or two, each line matched to your SKU by part number. Target Plus orders carry a returns notice in the item text rather than a clean title, so Rilk doesn't let that boilerplate become the line's name.
  3. The unit leaves the same count your marketplace listings sell from. Ship a Target Plus order and the Amazon and Walmart quantities for that SKU drop in step, so a strong Target week never oversells the listing.
  4. Ship it to the guest on Target's promise. Rate-shop UPS, FedEx, USPS, and DHL in Rilk for a delivery the guest expects on time, on the same screen as your Amazon orders; the ship notice with tracking goes back to Target through your SPS connection.
  5. Margin per guest order. Cost basis plus the label cost on every line, Target's remittance posted on the settlements screen, and Target Plus inventory management and profit per order are one view.

Connecting Target Plus

Already on SPS Commerce: in Rilk's Company Settings, turn on SPS Commerce with the mailbox details from SPS and enable Target Plus as a trading partner. Orders appear in your inbox from the next file. Connecting directly instead: tell us and we'll set the direct connection up with you. Supplying Target as a vendor rather than selling on the marketplace? That's the Target connection, run the same way.

Warehouse, PO and settlement workflows are on Pro; connections and labels are free on every plan.

Why sell on Target Plus with Rilk

An invitation to Target Plus is an audience you couldn't buy — Target's guests, on Target's site, with Target's trust behind the listing. The obligation that comes with it is a shipping promise you have to keep on every order, from a count that's also selling on Amazon and Walmart. Run Target Plus from a portal and you're keying orders by hand while the same SKU sells somewhere else from a number nobody adjusted. Rilk brings the order out of SPS into the same inbox, the same pick list, and the same count as everything else, buys the label, and lands the cost on the order. Target's guests become customers in the operation you already run, and the margin on each one is a number, not a guess.

Frequently asked questions

Does Target Plus send orders over EDI?

Yes. Target Plus guest orders arrive as EDI documents through SPS Commerce, and Rilk reads them straight out of the SPS mailbox you already receive them in — no re-keying and no portal to check. Rilk never writes to that mailbox: your acknowledgments, ship notices, and invoices stay on your own SPS connection, exactly as they run today.

Is Target Plus different from selling to Target as a vendor?

Yes. Target vendor purchase orders replenish distribution centers and stores. Target Plus orders ship from you to the guest directly. Rilk treats them as separate trading partners so each order is obviously one or the other.

Do I need SPS Commerce for Target Plus orders to reach Rilk?

If your Target Plus orders already arrive through SPS Commerce, they flow into Rilk today from that mailbox. If not, or if you'd rather connect directly, tell us and we'll set the direct connection up with you.

Does Rilk send tracking back to Target Plus?

Not for orders arriving through SPS — the ship notice and invoice go back through your SPS Commerce connection, as they do now. Rilk gives your team the order, the label, and the cost per unit; SPS carries the documents.

Can Target Plus share inventory with my Amazon listings?

Yes. There's one count behind the SKU. When a Target Plus order takes a unit, the Amazon, Walmart, and eBay quantities for it drop, so you list real stock everywhere instead of rationing units per channel.
